Mentorship

I offer peer support to students of all ages, from Grade 1 through post-secondary. I work with families to provide support and assistance to children and young people in a variety of ways and for diverse reasons.

A mentor-mentee relationship can provide a positive role model for a child or young person, a chance to explore the community with a buddy, and a space to build trust and self-confidence.

Parents and guardians can choose what they would like their child's mentoring sessions to focus on. I have been asked to be a mentor for a number of reasons, that include:

  • Bringing tutoring to life (real-life experiences to encourage learning difficult subjects)

  • Expanding social skills through community outings

  • Picking high school and university courses

  • Being a healthy role model for young women

  • Developing life skills, such as riding the bus, cooking a small meal, managing money

Mentorship is more affordable than you think! My rate is $20/hr, with sessions typically lasting 2-3 hours, once or twice a month.

Mentorship can provide:

  • one-to-one attention

  • peer guidance

  • social skills

  • life skills

  • role model

  • emotional support and respite
